Boardwalk Clay Organization
Our youth training program is built around real work, real responsibility, and real mentorship. We donโt teach from a classroom โ we teach from the field, where youth learn hands-on skills that build confidence, discipline, and purpose.
Every youth in our program learns:
Our youth follow the same structured mentorship path described on the Mentors page, adapted for their age and readiness.
Introduction to PPE, knots, rope handling, ground safety, and communication.
Raking, hauling, rope management, spotting, and working as a team.
Basic ascent, controlled descent, and safe movement in the canopy under full supervision.
Rigging basics, hazard awareness, non-powered saw safety, and environmental care.
Youth help lead small teams during community projects and service days.
For youth who want to go further, we support certification prep and job pathways.
Youth learn professional tree climbing from experienced mentors who work in the field every day. This is not recreational climbing โ this is real arborist training, taught with industryโstandard gear and safety protocols.
Youth learn how to:
We donโt just train youth to climb โ we train them to build a future. Our program includes real business education so youth can turn their skills into opportunities.
Youth learn how to:
Training is tied directly to service. Youth donโt just practice skills โ they use them to restore and uplift the community.
We welcome youth who are ready to learn, work, and grow. No experience is required โ just a willingness to try, listen, and show up.
Parents, guardians, or youth themselves can reach out to start the enrollment process.
You can directly support youth training by sponsoring gear, classes, and service days. Your support helps youth gain skills that last a lifetime.
