Boardwalk Clay Organization
Our mentorship team is built from a tight-knit group of professional arborists, climbers, and community workers who have known each other for over a decade. We’ve climbed together, worked storms together, cleaned neighborhoods together, and built careers side-by-side.
One day we realized something: we’ve been blessed with skills that can change lives.
So we made a decision — to teach the community, especially the youth, the art and discipline of being an arborist.
This program is our way of giving back, passing down real skills, and building the next generation of leaders.
Our mentors are more than instructors — they are protectors, guides, and examples.
Our mentorship program is structured, safe, and built for real growth.
Youth learn PPE, knots, rope handling, ground safety, communication, and respect for tools.
Before climbing, youth master raking, hauling, rope management, spotting, and teamwork.
Under full supervision, youth learn basic ascent, controlled descent, positioning, and movement in the canopy.
Youth learn rigging, limb control, hazard assessment, non-powered saw safety, and environmental care.
Youth lead small teams during cleanups, tree trimming, hazard removal, and restoration projects.
We help youth pursue arborist certifications, build resumes, and connect to job opportunities.
